Resend alternative
Sendpository vs Resend
A Resend alternative for developers who want to send and receive email through one API - with Resend's own published pricing worked out at the volumes people actually send, and the other Resend competitors worth a look.
In short
Sendpository and Resend are both developer-first email APIs with a clean REST API and a TypeScript SDK. Choose Sendpository if you also need to receive email on your domain with sender-authentication verdicts; choose Resend for its React Email ecosystem. Sendpository's free plan is larger: 6,000 emails a month (up to 200 a day), against Resend's 3,000 a month.Side by side
| Sendpository | Resend | |
|---|---|---|
| Free tier | 6,000 emails a month (up to 200 a day), free forever | Free: 3,000 emails a month, capped at 100 a day, one domain. Paid plans start at $20 a month for 50,000 emails. |
| Receiving email | Inbound addresses on your own domain, delivered to your inbox, API and an email.received webhook - with an SPF, DKIM and DMARC verdict on every message. | Inbound email is available as a feature of the platform. |
| Domain signing | A 2048-bit DKIM key generated per domain, signed as your own domain so it passes strict DMARC alignment. | Published as DNS records when you add a domain, and signed as that domain so it aligns for DMARC. Dedicated IPs are available on the higher plans. |
| Developer tooling | REST API, a typed Node.js/TypeScript SDK with no dependencies, idempotency keys, scheduled sends, signed webhooks and searchable delivery logs. | REST API with official SDKs for Node, Python, PHP, Ruby, Go, Java and .NET, plus React Email for building templates as components. Webhooks are delivered through Svix, and the API supports batch sends and broadcasts. |
| Templates | Send any HTML you render - React Email, MJML, Handlebars or plain strings all work. | Built alongside React Email, their open-source template library. |

What Resend costs at real volumes
A headline price per month means little until you put your own volume against it. These are Resend’s own published figures, worked through at three common monthly volumes. Sendpository’s side is on the pricing page, read from the same live plans this page reads.
| Emails a month | Resend, as published |
|---|---|
| 10,000 | $20 a month - their entry paid plan includes 50,000. |
| 50,000 | $20 a month, the published ceiling of that plan. |
| 100,000 | Above 50,000 their published tiers step up; check resend.com/pricing. |

Deliverability
Resend publishes a status page and positions itself on a modern sending stack with a managed shared pool. Sendpository signs every message with a 2048-bit key aligned to your own domain and records each delivery attempt in logs you can search, so inbox placement is something you measure on your own traffic rather than take on trust.
Choose Resend if
Teams already building templates with React Email, and anyone who wants the most-used developer email API with the largest community.
Choose Sendpository if
Apps that need to send and receive email through one API, and teams that want strict-DMARC-ready DKIM by default. Sendpository's free plan is larger: 6,000 emails a month (up to 200 a day), against Resend's 3,000 a month.
Switching from Resend
Verify your sending domain, create an API key, and replace your Resend send call with a POST to /v1/emails carrying from, to, subject and html. Update your webhook handler for Sendpository’s event names. The quickstart takes about ten minutes, and the Resend migration guide maps every field, header, webhook event and error.
curl https://api.sendpository.com/v1/emails \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SENDPOSITORY_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{
"from": "you@yourdomain.com",
"to": "customer@example.com",
"subject": "Your receipt",
"html": "<p>Thanks for your order.</p>"
}'Other Resend alternatives worth shortlisting
Sendpository is not the only answer, and a comparison that pretends otherwise is an advertisement. If the fit above is wrong, these are the providers most people weigh against Resend - each one better than us at something.
| Provider | Why it makes the shortlist |
|---|---|
| Postmark | The longest transactional-only track record, with separate streams for transactional and broadcast mail. |
| Amazon SES | The lowest per-email price if you are already on AWS and will build logging and bounce handling yourself. |
| Mailgun | Worth a look if you also need email address validation and dedicated IPs from the same vendor. |
All five, with free tiers side by side, are on the email API alternatives page, and Resend vs SendGrid vs Postmark sends the same email through each.
Questions
Is Sendpository a drop-in replacement for Resend?
Close to it. Both take a JSON body with from, to, subject and html over HTTPS with a Bearer key, so switching is usually a base-URL and key change plus re-verifying your domain. Webhook payloads differ, so update your webhook handler.
Can I keep using React Email with Sendpository?
Yes. Render your React Email component to HTML with its render function and pass the result as the html field. Sendpository sends whatever HTML you give it.
Does Sendpository have a daily sending limit on the free plan?
The free plan's limits are shown on the pricing page and come from the live plan settings. Paid plans have no daily limit.
