Acceptable Use and Anti-Spam Policy
This policy sets out what may be sent through Sendpository, operated by Pixelivate. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions: by using the service you agree to it, and breaking it is a breach of those terms.

Why this matters
Every customer sends through shared infrastructure. When one account sends spam, mailbox providers such as Gmail and Outlook start treating our servers as a spam source, and legitimate mail from every other customer - password resets, receipts, alerts - lands in junk or is refused. We enforce this policy to protect them, and you.
What Sendpository is for
Sendpository is a transactional email service. Transactional email is sent to one person because of something that person did or asked for, for example:
- Account sign-up confirmations, email verification and password resets
- Order confirmations, receipts, invoices and shipping updates
- Security alerts, login notifications and one-time codes
- Notifications a user has turned on - a new comment, a report being ready, a reminder they set
It is not a bulk marketing platform. Newsletters and promotional mail are allowed only to people who have clearly opted in to receive them from you, and only at volumes consistent with that list. We may refuse or stop traffic that behaves like bulk marketing.
Consent
You may only email people who have given you permission to contact them. That means:
- They gave their address to you directly - by signing up, buying something, or asking to hear from you.
- What you send matches what they signed up for. Consent to receipts is not consent to promotions.
- You can show when and how each address was collected, if we or a mailbox provider ask.
You may never send to:
- Purchased, rented, borrowed or shared lists - including lists sold as “opt-in”.
- Addresses scraped or harvested from websites, directories or social media.
- Addresses generated by guessing, such as info@ or sales@ at companies that never contacted you.
- Anyone who has unsubscribed, complained, or asked you to stop.
Prohibited content
Whatever the consent, you may not use Sendpository to send:
- Phishing, or anything that tries to obtain passwords, card details or other credentials under false pretences.
- Messages that impersonate another person, company or government body, or use a sender name or address you are not entitled to.
- Malware, or links to it.
- Fraud and scams - fake prizes, advance-fee schemes, fake invoices, investment or crypto schemes promising returns.
- Illegal goods or services, including unlicensed pharmaceuticals, drugs, weapons, and gambling where it is not lawful.
- Sexually explicit material, and any content that sexualises minors.
- Content that harasses, threatens, or promotes violence or hatred against people.
- Content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights.
- Anything else that is unlawful where you or your recipients are.
How your messages must be sent
- From a domain you own or are authorised to use, verified in your Sendpository account.
- With an honest From name, From address and subject line that are not misleading about who is sending or what the message is.
- With your business name and a way to contact you in every marketing message.
- With a working unsubscribe link in every marketing message, honoured promptly. Sendpository can add a one-click unsubscribe header for you.
- Without hiding or forging headers, or using tricks to get past spam filters.
Bounces, complaints and suppression
When an address hard-bounces, or its owner marks your message as spam, we add it to your suppression list and refuse further sends to it. Do not try to work around suppression - for example by re-adding the address or sending from another account.
Keep your lists clean. Remove addresses that bounce, and stop mailing people who have not engaged in a long time. Gmail and Yahoo expect senders to keep spam complaints below 0.1% and never to reach 0.3%; we expect the same.
The law
You are responsible for complying with every law that applies to your email, including:
- India's Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under it.
- India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, for the personal data of your recipients.
- The law where your recipients are - for example CAN-SPAM in the United States, CASL in Canada, and the GDPR and ePrivacy rules in the European Union and United Kingdom.
For the email you send, you decide who is contacted and why. We deliver it on your instructions, as described in our Privacy Policy.
How we monitor
We watch every account’s bounce rates, complaint rates and sending volume against its own normal pattern. A sudden rise in bounces or complaints, a sudden jump in volume, or a new account sending heavily from its first day are flagged for review by our team. We may also look at message metadata and content when investigating a report or a flag.
What happens if this policy is broken
Depending on how serious it is, we may:
- Contact you and ask you to fix the problem.
- Limit how much you can send, or pause sending, while we investigate.
- Suspend your account.
- Close your account permanently, without a refund for the current period, for serious or repeated breaches.
- Report illegal activity to the authorities.
Where we can, we will tell you first and give you a chance to put it right. Where a breach puts other customers or recipients at immediate risk - phishing, malware, or a sudden flood of complaints - we will act first and explain afterwards.
Reporting abuse
If you received an email sent through Sendpository that you believe is spam, phishing or otherwise breaks this policy, write to abuse@www.sendpository.com with the full message, including its headers. We investigate every report.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service and the law change, and will post the new version here. Questions go to billing@sendpository.com - see also Terms and Conditions and Contact Us.
